Jes, this looks pretty much more like the good way.
It is not wrong, when your engine is not at the center of your frame..
But you MUST be sure that your 2 cog wheels are on a straight line to eichother.
The placement of your engine doesn`t matter, because you can make your chassis in the form that it fits.

It doesn't matter if your block is out of the center from your frame,in the "Aircooled" handmade classifieds here in holland, drive's every one with "puch"engine's and that engine is always a lot of "milimetros" out of the center i think 20mm or more...the bike is not perfekt in balance but it drive's perfekt...then I do not modify anything?
It is not better than the block and the 2 wheels happen in the center?
Greetings..Ferdi

It is better to have the chain and the cogwheels perfectly lined up. I think that the puch riders in holland also have their engine right in the middle, if they dont have that, they will have to change the chain every 15 minutes i think.minibike#46 schreef:It doesn't matter if your block is out of the center from your frame,in the "Aircooled" handmade classifieds here in holland, drive's every one with "puch"engine's and that engine is always a lot of "milimetros" out of the center i think 20mm or more...the bike is not perfekt in balance but it drive's perfekt...then I do not modify anything?

I suggest you move your engine holding a bit more to the left in order to get those cogwheels lined up. Maybe drill some extra holes in the engine holding plate?

It's nice to see people from outside the Benelux on this forum too. How are the rules in your country about minibikes? I was under the impression you could drive in the streets without problems with the authorities. I'm not sure about that though.
Your bike is coming together nicely. Good luck with everything.
